Interesting article about 64 bit
computing.
“One of the interesting things
about this type of processor is that a 64-bit operating system is able to run
both 32-bit and 64-bit programs concurrently. Linux (meaning the GNU toolchain
as well as the Linux kernel) has been ported to run on a variety of such
processors.” Story
